Major electric vehicle (EV) makers continued to see mixed sales performance in China last week.

For the week of July 15-21, Nio (NYSE: NIO) vehicles saw 4,600 insurance registrations in China, up 35.29 percent from 3,400 in the previous week, according to data shared today by Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI).

Li Auto stopped sharing weekly insurance registration numbers earlier this year, after doing so for about 1 year. It resumed sharing those numbers in early May.

So far this month, there have been 13,300 insurance registrations of Nio vehicles in China, data compiled by CnEVPost show.

Nio delivered 21,209 vehicles in June, surpassing May’s previous record of 20,544 vehicles for a second consecutive record month.

It will hold its Nio IN 2024 tech day event on July 27, where it will unveil its research and development achievements and launch the second-generation Nio Phone.

Li Auto had 10,900 insurance registrations last week, down 3.54 percent from 11,300 the week before.

So far this month, 30,200 Li Auto vehicles have been registered for insurance in China.

The company delivered 47,774 vehicles in June, second only to last December’s record high of 50,353 vehicles.

In the second quarter, Li Auto delivered 108,581 vehicles, within the guidance range of between 105,000 and 110,000 vehicles.

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) had 1,900 insurance registrations last week, up 11.76 percent from 1,700 the week before.
