Google’s ambitious Street View project to create a 360-degree map of the world began in 2007. Since then, over 220 billion images have been captured, covering more than 10 million miles across 100 countries and territories. General Motors had over 500,000 active Super Cruise users at the end of the third quarter. The number of subscribers to the hands-free driving assistance system nearly doubled from last year. GM expects to end the year with over 600,000 active subscribers and $200 million in revenue from Super Cruise alone. Amid a better-than-expected third-quarter earnings report, General Motors claims it now has over 500,000 subscribers to its Super Cruise advanced driver assistance system. The Porsche Macan Electric is outselling the gasoline model this year, partly because the ICE version is no longer sold in the European Union. There won’t be any internal competition for long, as the gas-powered Macan will be retired globally in 2026. ChargePoint plans to roll out 600-kW chargers starting next year. There are no EVs currently available or even planned for release in the U.S. that need that much charging power. The most powerful EV chargers currently operational in America top out at 400 kW.
