The Seagull has been renamed Dolphin Mini in El Salvador, with a starting price of $22,400.
BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has launched the Seagull in El Salvador, where the compact electric hatchback has been renamed Dolphin Mini.
The model was launched in the Central American country by BYD and its partner Energy Motors, according to a statement on Friday.
The Seagull has a starting price of $22,400 in El Salvador and offers a range of up to 380 kilometers.
BYD entered the passenger vehicle market in El Salvador in January this year. It currently offers six models there, with the other five being the BYD Seal, BYD Yuan Pro, BYD Song Plus, BYD Song Pro, and BYD Shark.
BYD sold 344,296 NEVs in July, roughly on par with the same period last year, as PHEV sales declined sequentially for the fourth consecutive month.
