Tesla is taking up a fight to defend Elon Musk’s tweet that threatened to remove employee stock options if they decide to unionize all the way to the Fifth Circuit court of appeal. This is coming out of an old fight dating back to the UAW’s last unsuccessful push to unionize workers at Tesla’s Fremont factory and other locations. The U.S. Postal Service will purchase six electric vans from startup Canoo, to be delivered later this quarter. The vans will be right-hand-drive versions of the Canoo LDV 190 van, according to a press release from the startup. Canoo’s website lists the LDV 190 has having a 79-kwh battery pack yielding an estimated 200 miles of range. The van has 200 hp, a 1,624-pound payload capacity, and 172 cubic feet of cargo space behind its rear bulkhead in its stock configuration, the website says. In the fourth quarter, Tesla’s revenue from China was a record $6.1 billion, or 24.25 percent of its total revenue. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) got $21.75 billion in revenue from China in 2023, or about 22.5 percent of its total revenue of $96.77 billion, according to an SEC filing today.
