Kia America reported 59,059 vehicle sales in the United States in February, down 3% year-over-year. The total result after two months is 110,149 (down 2.4%). Meanwhile, Kia’s EV sales through February increased by 65% year-over-year—the company said, without revealing the exact number. The 2024 American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) list of “meanest” vehicles for the environment includes the expected array of gas-guzzling trucks—but also one EV. BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDF) today reported new energy vehicle (NEV) sales for February, followed by breakdown figures showing the performance of different brands and models. Rivian said Thursday that it will add Tesla Supercharger sites to its in-vehicle trip planner in March, with adapter shipments to owners starting soon after that. This will give Rivian owners access to more than 15,000 Superchargers across North America, the company said on X (formerly Twitter). As of Thursday Tesla had added Rivian to the list of Supercharger-supported brands “coming spring 2024” on its North American Charging Standard (NACS) explainer page, along with General Motors, Volvo, and Polestar.
