The K4’s product planner said that EV4 sedans will only be made in Korea, while hatchbacks will be made in Slovakia. “For now, we are planning to introduce only the sedan for North America,” she added.  12 Source: Kia That…

For a while, it all seemed like it might just work out. By one estimate, about 130,000 American jobs were said to be riding on the electric-vehicle boom sparked by the Inflation Reduction Act. Other estimates put that number around 160,000; if you include indirect but related fields, it may be closer to half a million.  Regardless, it’s clear that the Biden-era legislation that laid out incentives to manufacture EVs and batteries domestically, along with penalties if automakers don’t, was set to drive a lot of employment. Add in the potential to catch up to China’s decades-long lead on battery…

Did you know that a square four engine used to be a thing? In fact, early designs date back nearly 100 years to a man named Edward Turner. He was a motorcycle designer in the UK who penned up a compact engine that essentially fused two small twin cylinders into a single four-pot. He sold the design to a company called Aerial Motors, and thus the Aerial Square Four was born. One doesn’t simply stick a couple of inline twins together for a four-banger. As this video from the YouTube channel Driving 4 Answers demonstrates, this engine is truly a…

Anyone who knows the phrase “badge engineering” knows that General Motors is one of the biggest offenders. Throughout history, the company has offered vehicles that are mechanically identical but sold under two, three or even four brands. In the electric era, the company is trying to further differentiate its products, as Alex Dykes explains in the latest EV Buyers Guide video.
