Volvo EVs might be able to lighten their battery footprint with a new collaboration. Sweden’s Northvolt chose Canada, partly because of Biden policy. And Honda lays out some of the ways its upcoming EV buyers will stay charged. This and more, here at Green Car Reports. In preparation for the arrival of the 2024 Honda Prologue, revealed yesterday, and the Acura ZDX, Honda has inked new deals with EVgo and Electrify America that will give EV drivers “single-app access” to charging with the stations on both networks. That will all be in addition to Honda’s pending Supercharger access starting in…
The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) announced the list of ten companies that won a large tender to build around 900 DC fast charging stations with almost 8,000 individual EV chargers (from 4 to 16 per site). The project is actually the first tender for the “Deutschlandnetz” (Germany network), aimed to improve EV charging infrastructure across the country. There is a second tender on the table as well, which will result in additional fast-charging locations at 200 unmanaged motorway rest facilities at the autobahn (highway network). In this case, there will be 1,000 new fast chargers (4-8…

The electric watercraft segment is rapidly expanding. Taiga Motors, Zen Yachts, and Voltari are just a few manufacturers slightly dividing the EV boating market share, aiming for a niche status. Unlike the automotive industry, each manufacturer aims for entirely different segments. But now a new entrant is showing its face, one that is taking electric boating to different waves. Qurrent, a Coeur D’alene-based nautical technology company, is focusing on the tech side of boating. Implementing maritime ADAS features and powerful EV powertrains in boats, the startup has become the target of an established boat manufacturer wanting to implement its technology. …
