Solar giant Qcells announced today that it’s completed the expansion of its Dalton, Georgia, factory – what it calls the “largest manufacturing plant of its kind in the western hemisphere.” It’s also the first solar panel factory to be built since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. After revealing plans to issue another $1.5 billion in convertible debt, concerns about Rivian’s (RIVN) financial health have risen. The EV maker’s CEO, RJ Scaringe, explained that the debt offering creates an additional buffer rather than reflecting concerns over cash. In the latest price update that nobody bothered to officially announce, Tesla made its most expensive paint option – Midnight Cherry Red – a bit more affordable for customers in Europe and the Middle East. News of the 2024 EV6 Light Long Range was originally found by Green Car Reports’ partner site CarsDirect, citing a dealership order guide, but GCR has since confirmed the new model’s arrival with Kia USA.
