Stellantis is petitioning against strict emissions standards adopted by California and 13 other states, claiming they give other automakers competitive advantages. First reported by Bloomberg, the petition is based around a claim that the California Air Resources Board (CARB) “improperly adopted” a 2019 deal negotiated between the regulator and four automakers, in which those automakers agreed to voluntarily raise fuel economy. Tesla’s share in China’s BEV market was 11.87 percent in November, up from 5.78 percent in October. Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) sold 82,432 China-made vehicles in November, of which 16,928 were exported, data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed. China’s passenger new energy vehicle (NEV) retail sales reached a record high last month, with penetration exceeding the 40 percent mark for the first time.
