The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is set to approve Electrify America’s proposed plan for its next cycle of charging-network investments. But some in California don’t believe the plan does enough to address charger reliability, the Sacramento Bee reports. The U.K. telecom firm BT Group this week announced a pilot program to add EV charging to street cabinets typically used to house broadband and phone cables. The first such refit has already been completed in Scotland, with more planned in the coming months, according to a BT Group press release (via IEEE Spectrum). SAIC-GM-Wuling had NEV retail sales of 457,848 in 2023, ranking fifth in the segment with a 5.9 percent share. SAIC-GM-Wuling is targeting sales of 700,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2024, the company said today in a post published on its WeChat account. SAIC-GM-Wuling’s all vehicle sales in 2023 were 1.403 million units, it said, without disclosing sales figures for NEVs.
