    BYD Oct sales breakdown: Song 114,938 units, Qin 86,589

    Song family models continued to rank as the top-selling BYD models with record sales of 114,938 vehicles in October.

    BYD today announced new energy vehicle (NEV) sales for October, followed by breakdown figures showing the performance of different models and sub-brands.

    The Song family of models continued to rank as the top-selling BYD model with 114,938 vehicles sold in October, surpassing the previous record of 89,135 in September.

    This represents a 79.69 percent increase year-on-year and a 28.95 percent increase from September.

    The Song family models on sale include the Song L EV, Song L DM-i and Song Pro DM-i of the Dynasty series, and the Song Plus EV and Song Plus DM-i of the Ocean series.

    BYD’s Dynasty series of Song models sold 63,323 units in October, up 178.09 percent year-on-year and up 37.29 percent from September.

    Its Ocean series of Song models sold 51,615 units in October, up 25.30 percent year-on-year and up 20.01 percent from September.

    The Qin family models sold 86,589 units in October, the second highest selling BYD model, which was up 102.47 percent year-on-year and up 14.26 percent from September.

    The Qin family models include the Qin L DM-i, Qin Plus DM-i and Qin Plus EV.

    BYD Seal sold 59,893 units in October, making it BYD’s third best-selling model, which is up 218.65 percent year-on-year and up 2.76 percent from September.

    The Seal family models includes the Seal 06 GT, Seal EV, Seal DM-i, Seal 06 DM-i, and Seal 07 DM-i.

    The BYD Yuan family sold 56,038 units in October, up 35.20 percent year-on-year and up 22.84 percent from September.

    The BYD Seagull sold 54,081 units in October, up 24.75 percent year-on-year and up 24.54 percent from September.

    The Seagull was launched on April 26, 2023, and is the cheapest BYD model. BYD rolled out the 2025 Seagull on August 1, with unchanged starting price and core specs.

    The BYD Han family sold 30,137 units in October, up 48.70 percent year-on-year and up 22.88 percent from September.

    The BYD Chaser 05 sold 22,556 units in September, up 183.15 percent year-on-year and up 34.66 percent from September.

    The BYD Dolphin sold 21,710 units in October, down 38.30 percent year-on-year but up 6.70 percent from September.

    The BYD Sealion sold 19,232 units in October, up 64.90 percent from 11,663 in September.

    The company launched the Sealion 07 on May 10, the first model of BYD’s new technology platform, e-Platform 3.0 Evo.

    The hybrid Sealion 05 DM-i was launched on September 23, the second model in the Sealion array.

    The BYD Tang sold 15,003 units in October, up 41.90 percent year-on-year and up 19.53 percent from September.

    The BYD e2 sold 399 units in October, down 60.38 percent year-on-year but up 130.64 percent from September.

    BYD Frigate 07 sold 265 units in October, down 93.76 percent year-on-year and down 40.72 percent from September.

    BYD’s NEVs include passenger NEVs and commercial NEVs, with the former including different brands including BYD, Denza, Yangwang and Fang Cheng Bao.

    Passenger vehicles under the BYD brand, including the Dynasty and Ocean series, sold 480,841 units in October, up 66.05 percent year-on-year and up 20.60 percent from September.

    The Dynasty series sold 251,090 vehicles in October, up 82.18 percent year-on-year up and 22.72 percent from September.

    The Ocean series sold 229,751 vehicles in October, up 51.40 percent year-on-year and up 18.37 percent from September.

    BYD’s premium Denza brand delivered 10,781 units in October, down 6.25 percent year-on-year but up 4.68 percent from September.

    The Denza Z9GT, a new model launched on September 20, delivered 3,089 vehicles in October.

    BYD’s personalized sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao delivered 6,026 vehicles in October, up 11.14 percent from 5,422 in September.

    Fang Cheng Bao’s first model, the Bao 5, was officially launched on November 9, 2023, and deliveries began on November 23 last year.

    BYD’s ultra-luxury sub-brand Yangwang delivered 282 vehicles in October, including 265 U8 off-road SUVs and 17 U9 electric supercars.

    Yangwang launched its first model, the U8, on September 20, 2023, with deliveries beginning on November 24 last year.

    The Yangwang U9 went on sale on February 25, with deliveries beginning in late August.

    BYD sells record 502,657 NEVs in Oct, exceeding 500,000 mark for 1st time
